I have traveled a lot and have never had a better lodging experience even at places twice the price! The lobby was spotless and smelled amazing! The young lady at the front desk (Nesha) was warm and welcoming (with a beautiful genuine smile), checked me in efficiently and wished me a pleasant stay…and was just as warm and welcoming when I returned to the desk because my key did not seem to be working!! After determining via a reader behind the desk that it should work, she ACTUALLY WALKED ME TO MY ROOM AND SHOWED ME WHAT I WAS DOING WRONG!! And not once made me feel as dumb or a waste of her time as I objectively was! Thank you to Nisha! Checkout the next morning by Mona was equally efficient and pleasant, and I am not raving as much about my experience with her only because I was not challenged as I got my coffee and breakfast. What is worth high praise though is how spotless and completely stocked the breakfast bar was, even though I was fully 2+ hours into breakfast hours. If you travel a lot, I do not have to tell you how rare that is. Why was it that way? Because Mona never once sat down during the 20 minutes I watched her; instead, when not checking people out she was: making sure I had everything I needed; cleaning any mess that we customers had made, topping off supplies, checking on me again, and wishing me safe travels and a pleasant day. In summary, I will obviously be staying in this place any time I am anywhere near Oxford, AL and may have to make up an excuse to get back. Yes, it was that good an experience! I will also put EconoLodge at the top of my economy lodging choices in other locations, and hope their facilities and especially their desk staff are cut from the same cloth. If not, I know two kind and beautiful human beings whom they can learn from!! Terry Anderson

The man working the lobby in the afternoon was the most knowledgeable hotel attendant I've ever met (And I've met quite a lot) He made sure to tell me all the information about the hotel (where the room was, what was available for breakfast, the wifi password, where to get ice, etc.) The rooms were spacious, with a desk chair and arm chair. There was also a mini fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was nice, and clean. The pillows were very comfortable! The beds were also comfortable. The breakfast far exceeded what I expected from such a small motel, there was waffles, muffins, yogurt, coffee, and juices. The parking lot was well lit.

I was going to travel through Alabama, on my drive to Athens, GA. I noticed an Econo Lodge in Oxford, AL had a very reasonable price. Afterwards, I read so many reviews rating them highly. I thought I’d take a chance. Let me tell you this… this hotel in small city Oxford is a hidden traveler’s dream. No, it’s not the Waldorf Astoria, because it’s not meant to be. What you WILL find is top notch customer service, a spotlessly clean modern room, huge tv, WiFi, & it’s all around the corner from several restaurants, bars & shopping. This is a hidden jewel! They even have an EV charger, free to use! Now, that’s spot on!

It’s located next to everything and just a quick second to get on the highway to go downtown. The staff are super friendly and tried to help in everyway, anytime my family needed anything. It was nice seeing other families there and people walking there dogs. The downside, it’s still seems to be in the process of coming out of old Oxford. Some of the people I had to stay around were not good neighbors. Smoking infront of a non smoking room, talking on the phone in front of your room, etc. besides that, it was a nice stay. No other problems.

It was very clean. Staff was friendly. The only noise was from the road. I liked the convenience of being able to park right outside my room. I think it's pet friendly too, which I did not know at the time of booking and will be good to keep in mind for later. I believe I read at the front desk that the pet fee is $20 a night.
